Rev. OLU JEGEDE
Lead Pastor
Rev. Olu Jegede and his wife Jennifer have been ministering at Christian Centre in various capacities since 1992. Beginning as a youth ministry volunteer, Olu eventually felt called to leave his career in IT, become a full-time pastor, and move into the local community. Olu holds a Masters in Theology from Tyndale University as well as a BA in Computer Science. He is currently working on a DMin at Fuller. Olu and Jen are well known for their strong work ethic, warm hospitality and love of camping. They have four incredible children – Nicholas, Abigail, Elijah and Elizabeth.
REV. TREVOR DECEMBER
Assistant Pastor
Trevor first came to Christian Centre from Guyana as a young adult. He currently teaches our Connect Class, leads the Welcome team and assists in overseeing the maintenance of our church building. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Ministry from Master’s College and Seminary. He is known for his easy going demeanor and exceptional bus driving skills. Trevor’s wife Mercy keeps him looking fresh at all times. They have three children, Sarai, Gabriel and Jonathan.
REV. JESSIE KNIGHT
Assistant Pastor
Jessie came to the big city from rural Muskoka. She oversees our weekend services, serve teams, communications, and co-leads the youth and young adult ministries. Jessie holds a BA in Communications from York U and a theological degree in Pastoral Ministry from Master’s College and Seminary. Pastor Jessie very much enjoys beating Junior Highs at Mario Kart. She is married to John and together they are raising their daughters Eden and Shepherd.
JOHN KNIGHT
Assistant pastor
John came to the church in 2005. He co-leads the youth and young adult ministry and regularly teaches in various contexts at Christian Centre. He has his MA in history and has completed most of a doctorate in church history at the University of Toronto. John’s favourite things are college sports, hip hop and his dog Arlo, who gives him endless sermon illustrations. He is married to Jessie and together they are raising their daughters Eden and Shepherd.
BERNICE OROWALE
CHILDREN’S CO-ORDINATOR
Bernice grew up attending Christian Centre. She co-ordinates our children’s ministry team and all kids programming. Bernice holds a BA in Psychology from York U and is known for her powerful worship leading and amazing style.
Audrey Chia
Financial Administrator
Hailing from Vancouver, Audrey began attending Christian Centre as a York University student in 2006. Since then, the church has been instrumental in her spiritual growth. Audrey is known for her design skills and for always carrying a water bottle. She is married to Danesh, who serves on our board, and is mommy to Erin and Jamie.
