Fasting takes determination, but you can do it!

Fasting empowers people to pray and intercede more effectively. This practice is central to Christian spirituality and is modeled by Jesus.

Biblical fasting requires giving up food, though you should also limit your media intake, and spend more of your free time focusing on God.

Plan to fast every single day during our Call to Prayer.
Types of fasts include:

- Daniel fast, which is a vegetarian diet with essentially no animal products including cheese and eggs

- Fasting until sundown, meaning you won’t eat until dinner time

- A liquid fast, meaning you will only consume liquids like water or juice, but no food

- A water only fast meaning you only drink water, and no food
Tips:

- You can alter your fast every few days, such as a couple days liquid fast, a few days Daniel fast, etc. Or you can do the same fast every day for the 21 days. It’s up to you. The key is to decide up front, and stick to it

- Finally, its important to have someone keep you accountable to your chosen fast
